Having been imported from California, this sold 1957 MGA Roadster underwent a full nut and bolt restoration for a customer to their own specifications.
We stripped the vehicle down to a bare shell and chassis, and sent the chassis off to be blasted. It was primed, painted and rebuilt with all new suspension, braking and steering components. This included upgraded MGB brakes, Spax shock absorbers and a polybush suspension kit. The body had a full bare metal respray in Old English White, where various new chrome work was fitted.
An 1800cc MGB engine was fully rebuilt with a gas flowed cylinder head and fitted in the car with a Type 9 Ford 5 speed gearbox. The engine bay was detailed with an aluminium radiator, Revotec electric fan, CSI electronic ignition system, plus various other upgrades to help improve the drive and reliability of the car.
After 100 miles of local test driving, the car was delivered to the customer in South Wales.
