This matching numbers 1958 Triumph TR3A was originally an American export, where it spent its life in the states before being recently imported back over. It is now having a full nut and bolt restoration carried out, but is available to be purchased and have the project tailored to your own specifications.
The car was stripped down to a bare shell and the body removed from the chassis. When assessing the body panels, new floor panels and inner/outer sills were required, so the old panels were cut out and new ones welded in place. Once the body was structurally sound, the underbody, inside and under arches were all coated with black Gravitex stone chip. All body panels were taken back to bare metal, coated in Jenolite (acid rust eater), etch primed, primed and painted in Powder Blue – as per the heritage certificate.
The next plan is to have the chassis blasted and painted, before rebuilding with all new suspension and braking components.
If you are interested in having this vehicle restored to either factory or your own specification, please contact us. The current restoration plan for this vehicle is to have the car finished in Powder Blue, with a navy blue interior and chrome wire wheels with various upgrades as we go.
