This original UK 1965 MGB Roadster is sold project that underwent a full nut and bolt restoration to the customers own specifications. We worked with the customer throughout this project to make sure the car was built exactly as they requested.
The body was stripped down to a shell, taken back to bare metal, coated in Jenolite (acid rust eater), etch primed, primed and painted in British Racing Green. The front subframe and rear axle were stripped down, sand blasted and painted in gloss black. All new front and rear suspension, braking and steering components have been fitted, including a Spax rear shock absorber conversion.
The engine was stripped down to a bare block and rebuilt. The rebuild included an unleaded head conversion, new pistons, oil pump, chain and tensioners etc. The original 3 syncro overdrive gearbox has been completely rebuilt. The rebuilt engine and box have been fitted on new mounts, with the rest of the engine bay built up. This includes an upgraded aluminium radiator, Revotec electric fan, servo assisted brakes, electronic ignition and coil, K&N air filters etc.
A mohair black hood has been fitted, along with a matching tonneau cover. New 5J chrome wire wheels have been fitted with new tyres and spinners. The car was then substantially tested locally, before the customer had the car delivered to Scotland.
